The article led by Dr. Cáceres, which was recently published in Ecology & Society, focuses on ecosystem services as an environmental and social concept, as well as on an integrative socio-ecological perspective of ES based on the perception of ES by different social actors (SA). By presenting results of a concrete case study in central Argentina, the article further unpacks the social aspects of the interdisciplinary and multi-SA framework presented in Díaz et al. (2011), showing how different SA perceive and value different ES, and how they link to specific components of biodiversity.

This article is a key contribution to the conceptual and methodological framework developed by DiverSus, which is exemplary for Latin America and for other regions with similar socio-environmental situations.
