DiverSus members delivered a posgraduate course on plant functional traits

Prof. Sandra Díaz and Dr. Lucas Enrico gave a posgraduate course entitled “Why and How to measure plant functional traits – A practical introduction”. The course was given in the Wayqecha Biological Station (Cusco, Perú) as part of the project CHAMBASA (CHallenging Attempt to Measure Biotic Attributes along the Slope of the Andes), led by Dr. Yadvinder Mahli from the University of Oxford (UK).

During the course students were taught theoretical bases and practical training on the measurement of plant functional traits. The course was a great opportunity to put the New Traits Handbook into practice.
