Lorena Ashworth

Lorena Ashworth is a research scientist at IMBIV (CONICET-UNC)
Her research field is focused on: 1) pollination services provided by wild pollinators to wild and crop plant species and 2) habitat fragmentation effects on plant-animal interactions.

Current activities in the network

Within the network she is conducting a project to assess pollination dynamics and pollinator dependence for fruit production in a native tree (Prosopis flexuosa, Fabaceae). This tree species is considered a wild key resource by the local social actors, who make wide use of its products as food, cattle forage, wood, among other uses.
