Marcelo Cabido

Background

Marcelo Cabido is a phytogeographer and plant community ecologist with a well-known trajectory in South America. He is an expert in the Argentine flora and in vegetation survey techniques. He has linked vegetation gradients and land-management regime through the use of remote sensing, produced one of the first maps of land use/land cover at the regional scale in Argentina. He has long experience in the development of management recommendations for the management and conservation of protected areas. He has played a major role in the design and implementation of conservation master plans for protected areas controlled by the Argentine National Park Administration and  Environmental Agency of Córdoba Province.

In our project, he coordinates the compilation of taxonomic information, the standarization of study methods across sites, and the compilation of floristic data bases.
