The article led by Dr. Cáceres, which was recently published in Ecology & Society, focuses on ecosystem services as an environmental and social concept.
Prof. Sandra Díaz and collaborators have recently published two articles presenting the new conceptual framework of IPBES, which was adopted at the second IBPES Plenary held in Antalya, Turkey on December 2013.

Dr. Pausas, a renowned fire ecologist from the Centro de Investigaciones sobre Desertificación, Valencia, España, was invited by DiverSus to visit the IMBIV.
A short course entitled “Concepts, methods and importance of functional traits” was given by DiverSus members from IBIF.
Prof. Díaz was distinguished in the area of Biological, Agrarian and Veterinary Sciences for her contribution to the production of knowledge, its social impact and the formation of human resources.
